Active Duty - Sawyer

Sawyer is 22-years old, stand 5'8" tall and weighs in at 165 lbs. (on a "good day," he says). Turns out, only two-and-a-half years ago, he weighed 120 lbs. That extra 45 lbs.? Why, that's muscle earned from a five-day-a-week work out plan. And it's oh-so evident in his photos and video. (He jokes about his work out: "I think it's working a little bit. . . " You don't say!)

The Men Of The Hunger Games

After a discussion (ok, an argument) with a few of my friends Thursday night, we headed out to Hunger Games. One of them wanted to see Titanic 3D but I barely got through it’s drawn out melodramatic love story the first time and had no intention of seeing it again. Everything I had heard about the film was positive but I still had reservations as the films appeal has been compared to that of the Twilight saga, yet another blockbuster I had a hard time getting through.

I loved the film, and it’s cast all superb. Although led by a the incredible Jennifer Lawrence, the heroine was surrounded by plenty of testosterone to please anyone needing a little male distraction with their action. Stanley Tucci, Wes Bentley, Liam Hemsworth, Lenny Kravitz, Woody Harrelson and the oh so hot Alexander Ludwig are all more than able to fill one’s hunger craving.

Most impressive was actor Josh Hutcherson who, (I know I must live under a rock) I had not really heard of until this film. It is a testament to his acting skills that a character at times you dismiss, dislike and distrust becomes one, which by the third act, you end up routing for. It is also a testament to the appeal of Liam Hemsworth that in only a few short scenes, you still want the heroine to choose him.

Channing Tatum: Backing It Up!

I posted recently about my new found respect for actor Channing Tatum. (Just Because: Magic Mike) The actor continues to up his cool quota by backing his bountiful booty into the waiting hands of Elton John recently. On stage for Revlon’s Rainforest Fund Concert, Channing and Elton performed on stage at Carnegie Hall singing ‘Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend’ . Other artists performing included James Taylor, Jennifer Hudson, and Bruno Mars.

Note: I have not seen The Vow yet and some viewers are reporting seeing this scene edited to show less. Much more indepth research required. Can anyone let me know their experience?

My guess is that Channing Tatum is not the first actor who spent a bit of his past stripping to make a living. Becoming a successful actor is almost an impossible task and most actors, regardless, of talent have to take on all sort of jobs between acting roles. My guess is most agents would warn their clients to keep quiet about having spent time when they were 19 on stage removing their clothes. There is a risk they would not be taken seriously and they would risk losing what respect they may have within the industry.

It is interesting that Tatum, by embracing his stripping past, actually appears to be gaining respect. With Magic Mike, the actor not only has a film, directed Steven Soderbergh, about his life, he has gained both writing and producing credits for the project. Given the cast includes some of Hollywood’s hottest actors the skin quota is bound to disappoint many, but I look forward to it’s release and hope the film does not try to be too heavy and embraces a bit of the camp. has been a favorite of mine since I first saw his work a few years ago. The first shots I saw of Landon were some great shots by photographer Josh Thompson. Landon was featured on FH in the early days after the launch of the blog. Landon lives and works in Las Vegas and has spent the last couple of years singing and dancing in one of the towns biggest shows.

Landon is now putting a focus on his modeling and is traveling and working across the country over the next couple of months. Landon will be in LA Nov 16th-19th. Houston Nov 26th-Dec 13th and in New York City Dec 14-19th. You can see more of Landon on his MM Page HERE:

When checking out Landon’s portfolio recently I was drawn to his new work with Eric Scot Photos and Ivan Avila. Landon has a great look with a youthful, boy next door face contrasted with the raw sexuality he exudes in his shots. I love how both Eric Scot and Ivan Avila captured Landon in their recent shoots.
